About Dr Adam
"Dr. Adam Szlezak, PhD., is a name synonymous with profound insights into human emotion and behavior, and his work is a testament to the power of personal struggle transformed into professional mastery" (EP Wired, 2025).
"Hi, I’m Dr Adam,
As a young athlete, I used to get so overwhelmed before competing, I often physically vomited my guts up, and struggled to perform when it really counted.
That experience changed my life, and I took a deep interest in the mind-body connection and nervous system. I became the Australian Under 18 and Under 20 Sprint Hurdle Champion (with a number 5. World U18 ranking), I completed two Doctorates – the first a Doctorate in Physiotherapy and the second a PhD in Applied Psychophysiology, and I also become a Japanese Ju Jitsu Black Belt.
Through my focus on the nervous system, mind-body connection, and the psychophysiology of human emotion, behaviour and performance, my opinion and skills became increasing sought across the spectrum of mental health, occupational health, elite sport, business, organisational performance, and risk-management. I gradually transitioned from my clinical (therapeutic) and coaching roles into the role of a Consultant, where I assist CEOs, founders, leadership teams, HR executives, organisations, and a multitude of professionals to navigate human emotion (nervous system), behaviour and performance at individual and organisational levels.
I also serve as a key Consultant in Behaviour Risk Management and Performance with Panoptic Solutions - a leader in Corporate Security and Executive Protection."
