About Dr Adam | Dr Adam Szlezak, PhD
Hi, I'm 'Dr Adam' | You've Got This
Hi, I’m Dr Adam (Dr Adam Szlezak, PhD)! I'm here to help empower your LIFE & Business goals through Mental & Emotional Skills & Performance Coaching. Formally, I'm a Doctor of Physiotherapy & Accredited Sports Scientist (focussed in Mental & Behavioural Health, & Performance). Nowadays, I work primarily as a Coach helping driven people like YOU with their Life, Career & Business Goals!
What's my own background?
As a driven young athlete, I’d really struggle to function and perform at my best in competition & under pressure…in fact, I'd become so overwhelmed before competing, I'd even VOMIT my guts up!!! At the time, people would say it was all in my head - but I can tell you it was very physical - and I knew the mind and body were NOT separate. SO, instead of giving up or avoiding my GOALS, I taught myself to become Comfortable being Uncomfortable (despite it being very challenging), learnt to use my Mind-Body connection as a practical tool, and I eventually became an Australian Junior Champion in Athletics with a Number Five World Youth Ranking (IAAF). This marked the start of my journey with the Mind-Body Connection and PRACTICAL human function, behaviour and performance. I then spent approx. 12 years at University studying the Mind-Body connection, whilst building this very Practice. We're all AWESOME humans! We don't need to BELIEVE in ourselves or even have super talent - we just need the right Practical Coaching!
